Couples Photoshoot on the Amalfi Coast — Honeymoon, Anniversary & Romantic Portraits
A couples session on the Amalfi Coast is the easiest way to come home with photos of the two of you that aren't selfies or stranger-shot iPhone snaps. I shoot honeymoons, anniversaries, post-wedding strolls and just-because trips — relaxed, unposed, in the most beautiful places along the coast.

What a couples session looks like
The shape of every couples session is roughly the same: we meet, we walk, we talk, I shoot. There’s no studio, no formal posing list, no awkward “look at the camera, now look at each other” routine.
A typical Signature Photo Walk (€200, 90 minutes) covers two to three locations. In Positano that means starting in the quiet streets above the village, working down through the dome and the famous staircase, and finishing on the beach. In Amalfi we usually move from the cathedral steps, through the paper-mill alleys, to the harbour. Each location gives you a different mood — grand, intimate, scenic — so the final gallery has variety, not 100 versions of the same frame.
Halfway through, when you’ve relaxed into the camera being there, the best images happen. That’s typically the photos people print and put on the wall: the ones where you look like yourselves, just on the most beautiful trip you’ve ever taken.
What to bring (or not)
- Light layers if you’re shooting at sunrise or in Ravello — early air can be cool.
- Comfortable shoes. Heels look great in stills but become a problem on a 90-minute walk over Amalfi Coast steps.
- Water bottle in summer.
- One small bag. I can carry it during the shoot when you’re in frame.
- Skip umbrellas, big handbags and very dressy outfits unless they’re for one specific location.
Tips that actually help on the day
- Eat something an hour before — low blood sugar shows on faces.
- If you’ve never shot together before, the ten-minute “warm-up” walk really does work. Don’t skip it.
- Trust the light. Some of the best shots happen in shade or just after sunset, not in direct sun.
- Tell me what matters. If there’s one specific frame you want — the cathedral steps in Amalfi, the Terrace of Infinity, the church dome in Positano — I’ll plan the route around it.
When the session ends I edit the full set carefully and send you a private gallery link within five to seven days. You can download everything, share immediately, print whenever you’re ready.

Frequently asked questions
We're not photogenic — does that matter?
Almost no one feels photogenic in front of a camera at first. The first 5–10 minutes of the session are deliberately easy: walking, talking, looking at each other rather than the camera. You'll see the difference in your own face by the second outfit change. I direct lightly throughout — small adjustments rather than rigid poses.
Should we choose Express or Signature?
For couples I almost always recommend the Signature Photo Walk (€200). It gives you 90 minutes and 2–3 locations, which means real variety in the gallery. Express is good if you have a tight schedule or want photos at a single specific spot.
What should we wear?
Soft colours that work with the pastel palette of the coast — cream, sand, dusty rose, soft blue, white, terracotta. Avoid loud logos and very bright primaries. One of you in flowing fabric (a dress, a long skirt) is great for movement. Comfortable shoes always — there are stairs.
Can we do an outfit change?
One outfit change works smoothly in a Signature session — there are discreet spots near most main locations, or we time the route past your hotel. Two changes is possible with planning.
How far in advance should we book?
Two to four weeks for May–October dates. Closer is fine for shoulder-season midweek; longer is wise for honeymoon weeks (especially around weekends).
